Herb garden of the Musa Cooperative
Location: Approximately 80 kms northeast of San Jose near Braulio Carrillo Park and 10 kms south of the research station Selva Verde of the Organization of the Tropical Science Research Center
Description: The 11 members of this group are all women except for 1 man and between them they manage the herb garden and roadside stand as well as host classes and make presentations to other women. Sales are minimal but the group has persevered and gained valuable experience and strength as the first collective of women in Costa Rica.
