Location:  About 30 km from Cartago

Purpose:  Finca La Flor is dedicated to demonstrating organic agriculture and sustainable development.  It offers courses to locals and to tourists as well as offering a work/live program. 

Accommodations:  Numerous dormitory and single bedrooms as well as an ecotourist cabin.

Other amenities:  Meals provided, TV, laundry facilities, internet use may be available.

                     Visit a sugar cane trapiche (processomg plant)
                     Learn Spanish
                     Horseback riding tours

Costs:  $10 a night for work trade (26 hours a week) includes meals.  Ecotourist rates available.  Spanish $5 a lesson.  Courses available through the website

Products:  Crafts, cheese and organic vegetables
